“Not interested. This is Michigan, for God sakes.”
– Al Borges answering questions about whether he was interested in the Florida Offensive Coordinator position. (Al Borges just gained a few points with me)

Aw, shucks, you mean there will be an NBA season... →
I woke up to the news that the NBA lockout has come to a close, and that there will be a 2011-2012 season. Darn. I was looking forward to a winter where hockey could finally be king. I mean, yes it is good that the Lakers will have a season, and I’m happiest for the little people that work for the franchises. On the other hand, it would be difficult for me to care less about the NBA than I do...

Michigan loses to Iowa, Michigan crushes Nebraska,... →
This is what the Big Ten has been like in 2011. One week a team a team like Iowa loses to Minnesota, and the next they are taking down the #13 team in the nation, Michigan. And then there is Wisconsin, and their fall from what looked like Rose Bowl glory early on. This week the weirdness continued as Nebraska came off being blown out by Michigan to beat Iowa today. Iowa, of course, dealt...

The Lions keep up with tradition and lose on... →
Thanksgiving. It’s a day for tradition, family, and football. It’s a day to give thanks to God his bountiful blessings. It’s also a day for Lions fans to walk to the dinner table thinking to themselves, “They lost again”. | http://scottkeller.org/news/?p=1420

Jen Floyd Engel of Fox Sports doesn't like the...
I’ve been saying for some time now: The Tebow hate is uncalled for. Ever since he was drafted by the Denver Broncos and even before, Tim Tebow has been ridiculed for all sorts of things, especially for being a devout Christian. Jen Floyd Engel of Fox Sports is one of the few voices in the mainstream media that is asking why. She even asks the question: Would this criticism be the same if...

Michigan’s loss to Iowa is a warning: November...
That was just UGLY.  The Michigan Wolverines barely even showed up today in Iowa City and lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes, a team that was beaten by Minnesota, the cream-puff of the Big Ten.  This was Michigan’s game to lose, and they lost it mightily.   The refs didn’t help much either, but more on that later. The difference in this game was turnovers caused by Denard Robinson.  Denard...
